We offer courses from complete beginners to European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Level 2.
Being able to work your way around Microsoft Office, send emails and solve problems using online skills are hugely valuable to employers.
Improving your digital skills can also make everyday tasks easier such as shopping online, booking appointments, keeping in touch with family & friends, managing your bank account and catching up with your favourite TV shows.
The ACL Let's Get Digital courses are designed for complete beginners to IT, you will learn basic digital skills like using search engines to find useful information, storing photos on a device or in the cloud, contacting people on social media and email, buying and selling online, booking a holiday, creating a text document and much more.
Through the British Computing Society we offer the European Computer Driving License (ECDL) at Levels 1 and 2. This industry standard qualification is recognised by employers worldwide.
ECDL Courses could be free if you are in receipt of a benefit.
Upskill your staff
We are offering FREE training in Microsoft Office and Social Media to employers in Essex. You can come along to all four sessions or just one, two or three. This training is funded by the European Social Fund and offers employees the chance to expand their knowledge of office software.
This is higher standard training so for people with good existing skills at level 2. There are four 3-hour sessions covering Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as learning more about using Social Media for business/work. Choose which dates you would like to attend. All we ask is for you commit to make sure you will be able to attend the ones you choose as these are booked for the free funding. In the event of non-attendance a fee may be charged to the employer. These courses will be taking place at our centres across Essex including Basildon, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Clacton, Colchester, Harlow, Maldon, and Witham.

*You must be 19 years of age by the 31st August 2018 in order to enrol a course with ACL. Upon submission of this form, someone from ACL will contact you within 5 working days. Qualifications can last up to 35 weeks of the year. Taught lessons are accompanied by homework, all of which require a level of commitment and dedication from you, in order to be successful.
