Support for people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties

We can help you learn.  We offer support for all learners and can offer assistance to people with visual or hearing impairments, mental health difficulties, dyslexia and people with other medical conditions.

How we can help 

The support we can offer includes:learning support sign language

  • Note takers or tape-recorded notes if you have a physical difficulty taking notes
  • Portable loops if you use a hearing aid
  • British Sign Language communication support
  • Additional teaching, either to reduce class size or to provide support in or out of class
  • One-to-one tuition in certain circumstances
  • Specialist assistive or enabling software
  • Study skills support if you have not undertaken formal learning for a while
  • Reading or other support for certain examinations
